MP3: Natural and Logical Consequences (for Older Children)

$9.99

We previously created an MP3 offering understanding of using natural and logical consequences with young children. This recording distinguishes the difference between consequences and punishment and how to best help older children, from schoolagers to teens, navigate life.

Consequences are a result of action and are wonderful learning opportunities. Natural consequences are easy to enforce, parents just have to be able to tolerate the discomfort of watching their children learn from the actions. Logical consequences are harder to come up with because they must be known in advance, make sense to the child and be related to the behavior.

We share common situations, anecdotes and stories from parents of young children to illustrate how consequences work – for both parent and child. This recording was created specifically for parents of older children.
